Artist Wendy L. Wolf creates Heritage Portraits (portrait stories), of children secured through international adoption and Heritage Murals. Heritage Murals can be a wonderful way to brighten a space while waiting for a pending international adoption. Each of these commissions are as unique and beautiful as the children of adoption they honor, they speak to the child's heritage, their family's story, and their new lives with their forever families. Please use the menu on left and click on Heritage Portraits and Heritage Murals to see examples of this work.
Wendy has been privileged to create many murals for residential, institutional and commercial clientele. These murals are as diverse as her client base, running the course from exterior commercial work accessed by power lift and scaffold, to fine interior murals created on site or painted on canvas in studio, and applied to the wall in the same manner as wallpaper. To see a sampling of her large scale works, including canvas murals, children's rooms, ocean and jungle room themes, use the mural gallery button in the menu.
Wendy has her own series of original artworks, paintings and prints to purchase and hang. They speak to her love of nature, flowers and animals, They are gentle, tranquil and playful all at the same time, containing hidden images, and graced with famous quotations. You can see them by using the available prints button in the menu.
A personal note from Wendy,
I hope you enjoy looking at my website and artwork, and spend some time reading the unique stories of the internationally adopted children on the Heritage Portraits and Heritage Murals Pages. The power of love is a magnificent thing, and families that adopt children are wonderful, special people. I have been blessed in that the families of the children in these portraits have chosen to share their stories with me. Stories make everyone's lives so much richer, and everyone's got them.
There is no chance, no destiny, no fate,
Can circumvent or hinder or control
The firm resolve of a determined soul.
Gifts count for nothing; will alone is great;
All things give way before it, soon or late.
What obstacle can stay the mighty force
Of the sea-seeking river in its course,
Or cause the ascending orb of day to wait?
Each well-born soul must win what it deserves.
Let the fool prate of luck.
The fortunate
Is he whose earnest purpose never swerves,
Whose slightest action or inaction serves
The one great aim. Why, even Death stands still,
And waits an hour sometimes for such a will.
